Why You Should Make A Reformer Pilates Routine This Fall

For many of us, fall brings a desire to build a routine. No matter how long it’s been since you actually went back to school in September, something about the season is bound to remind us of that time. It might inspire you to learn something new, reorganize your priorities, or commit to a new habit. Which brings us to the point of this article. Might we humbly suggest reformer pilates as the new addition you make to your life. For a myriad of reasons, we think this workout will be the perfect thing to bring you inspiration through the last months of the year.

You’ll Reserve Time for Yourself

The end of the year is packed with lots of big goals and celebrations. For many of us in corporate, Q4 is in sight. The pressure to achieve is rising. And then, there’s all the holiday celebrations, office parties, family visiting, and everything in between, which are great opportunities for connection, sure, but also sometimes stressful. Between all these competing interests, it can be difficult to find time for yourself. But, if you’re already in the habit of carving an hour out for pilates by the time the end of year hits, we bet it will be easier to keep that habit going.

You’ll Feel More Energized

In summer, social activities tend to veer towards outdoors and active naturally. Days have more sunlight and there’s just a spirit in the air. But suddenly, it’s getting colder and darker and staying home in bed just feels so easy. Exercise will give you energy, helping to counteract that seasonal ennui.

You’ll See Results

This can be the time of year when we start to think, what have I even done this year? Where did all the time go? And while we’re sure you have done other things, we have good news. You can do another! If you commit to coming to pilates regularly, you’ll soon be able to feel and then see the results within your body. We bet you will before the year even ends!

You’ll Find More Time in Your Schedule

A common reason we hear that people don’t work out is because they don’t have enough time in the day. We get it. Life is hard and filled with many responsibilities. Working out improves our sleep quality and energy levels, both of which can boost productivity and focus. So if you have so many things you want to accomplish by the end of the year you don’t even know which to choose, starting with working out may even open room for more things!

You Get to Lay Down while Feeling Productive

If none of these other points are enough to convince you to get into the studio, worry not. We’ve saved the best for last. Have you ever wished you could just lay down without feeling guilty about it? In reformer pilates, you can! And okay, we’ll be honest, the class isn’t only lying down, but it’s well known getting to the gym is often the hardest part of working out anyways. So, just tell yourself you’re coming to class to lay down. Even if that is all you do, you’ll still get the benefits of our infrared heated studios. But, we bet you’ll do more and before you realize, you’ll have achieved a new goal. (One caveat – rest is also important and hard as it is, you definitely shouldn’t feel guilty about taking time to lay down too!)
