Pick a new Oxygen Yoga & Fitness  class based on your favorite Canadian Singer

No plans for the start of the new year? Or perhaps, so many plans you know you’re going to need to do something fun and physical to reconnect with your body, but just can’t quite find the mental energy to figure out what to do? Lucky for you, we’ve made up a little game to help you pick a new workout class to give a try this year. As a proudly Canadian company, we love supporting Canadian artists, so here’s our suggestion for what workout class you should try next, based on which Canadian singer was in your Spotify Wrapped, or who you’re simply streaming the most these days.

If your top artist was Tate McRae, we think you should take…

Hot Barre Fusion. If you’ve never seen Tate McRae perform, you might not know that she’s not only a singer but also an incredible dancer! In fact, she was on So You Think You Can Dance and trained at Alberta Ballet before launching her pop star career. That’s why for anyone streaming Tate McRae any chance they get, we suggest Hot Barre Fusion, which blends ballet barre, pilates, and athletic-style yoga to challenge your endurance while shaping and detoxing your body.

If your top artist was the Weeknd, we think you should take…

Hot 20/20/20. The Weeknd’s catchy beats can carry you through any situation, and in this class you’ll be trying out a variety of them. Spend twenty minutes on cardio-based training, twenty minutes on strength training, and finish with 20 minutes of stretching, and before you know it you’ll be on your way out of the studio and itching to listen to that earworm The Weeknd song once again.

If your top artist was Michael Bublé, we think you should take…

Hot Candlelight Deep Stretch & Relaxation. If you go crazy for Bublé, we think you might be missing the holiday season just about now. Whether you need rest after a chaotic December spent celebrating or are wanting to bring the restfulness you found into the new year, we think you can find it in Hot Candlelight Deep Stretch & Relaxation. This class spends its first half working through seated stretches and flows before proceeding into yin postures focused on increasing flexibility and stretching connective tissues.

If your top artist was Carly Rae Jepsen, we think you should take…

Hot Tone & Sculpt. Whether you’ve kept up with Carly Rae Jepsen since Call Me Maybe, or discovered her in her more indie pop era, we think you’ve got great and unique taste and more importantly have a confidence in knowing what you like. We feel similarly about fans of Hot Tone & Sculpt, an incredibly unique sculpting session which uses weighted toning bars to work your arms, core, and legs.

If your top artist was Justin Bieber, we think you should take…

Hot FIIT-Lates. 2025 was a year of resurgence for Justin Bieber, who released both SWAG and SWAG II in the last year, bringing together the best of Justin Bieber’s past albums with a new and exciting twist. Likewise, our newest offering Hot FIIT-Lates combines two longstanding workout favorites, HIIT classes and Pilates, and finds within them a workout which is totally its own and incredible.

If your top artist was Shawn Mendes, we think you should take…

Hot Yoga Freedom Flow. Shawn Mendes’ music is for people who are interested in getting in touch with themselves and their priorities, and you could say our Hot Yoga Freedom Flow is the athletic equivalent to this experience. This class incorporates standing postures, detoxifying twists and so much more while working on elongating your muscles, increasing flexibility, and increasing strength in body and mind.

If your top artist was Drake, we think you should take…

Hot Box Fusion. Drake might have given Toronto a new name internationally when he started calling it ‘the 6’, but he also made headlines more recently for a pretty public feud with Kendrick Lamar. So if fighting is on your mind, may we offer a healthy alternative and suggest you sharpen your boxing skills in our hot box fusion class. This high intensity class includes shadow boxing, kickboxing, fusion, core, and cardio.

If your top artist was Sarah McLachlan, we think you should take…

Hot Yang Yin Yoga. Sarah McLachlan’s ethereal vocals are unmatched. Paired with the emotional tone of many of her songs, we think the best class for you is one that will allow you to energetically center your mind, body, and soul such as Hot Yang Yin Yoga. This class finds a perfect balance of strengthening and stretching as you spend the first half on Yang postures that push your muscles and the second half on Yin postures, which encourage flexibility.

No matter what you were listening to this year, or what you’re looking for in a workout class, we bet we’ve got something perfectly suited for you. Check out our full offerings here, and we’ll look forward to seeing you in the studio soon.
